What equipment will I need?
- You don’t need any specialised equipment – just your body, mind and emotions. A bit of space and maybe some props.
- You’ll need time – it might be just a minute or two or you may need a bit longer. The sample programmes give you an idea of the timing.
- You don’t need special workout gear, just wear whatever you’re wearing now. Maybe take heels off and loosen anything tight.
Workout guidelines
- Do the workouts as often as you can, but not all the time.
- Pick a few things to focus on at a time, not everything at once.
- Start with the beginner workouts – you can always move up a level if you’re not getting enough benefit. It’s easier to move up a level, rather than injure yourself and move down or give up entirely.
- Breathing all the way through is encouraged.
- Your muscles build their strength in rest mode, so make sure you rest.
- Workout together! Enjoy some company while you workout, and practice being a “spotter”, giving each other feedback as you workout.
- Warm up and cool down.
Don’t overdo it
If any of the exercises cause pain or distress, please go and see a medical expert for help and support. That’s physical, mental or emotional pain. There are medical specialists who can help with all of those. And get some rest. You deserve it.
